Can't Play a Household

Move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues. If it does help, then put your mods/CC back into the newly generated mods folder in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing the game after each one to see which is the cause of the problem.

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

If the issue remains with the mod folder removed and after repairing the game , i am so sorry. You will need to start a new save game,
But keep your old save game in a safe place until a fix is released in a future patch.

Thank you! This was amazing. I took out my mods and the game worked perfectly. Then I put them all into the new mods folder and the glitch happened again. I guess I'll have to be without mods and CC until that glitch is fixed.

Try testing to see which mods/cc are causing the issue. Take all of your mods/cc out of the mods folder. Then put your mods/CC back into the mods folder one by one or in batches and testing the game after each one to see which is the cause of the problem. Put one item or batch in , test the game , take it out. Then test another one, to find the cause of the issue.

There has been a hotfix version of MC Command Center released , so if you use that mod check to see that you have the latest version installed.

This same thing happened to me! Except it happens even after I removed all my mods and even when I start a new game. I have no idea what to do, I can't load any lots :(

I am sorry that you have this issue :( You may need to start a new save game. You could save your sims from the current game to your library then place them into the new save game. They will lose though any relationships that your sims has with sims not in their household, and will lose their inventory and collections progress. They will retain though their skills, reward traits, aspiration progress and their careers.
Keep though a copy of your current save game for when a fix is released for the issue.

Thanks for your feedback! I'm so sad about it. I am on generation 9 and my neighborhood is bustling with family and friends for generations. The thought of losing it all is a bummer. Do you know what might have caused this?

Have all of you with lot-loading issues removed all of your cc, too? I recommend taking EVERYTHING out, if you're having issues getting the patched game to work properly.

Any script mod stands a VERY good chance at being broken, if it has a pre-patch filedate. UI mods, too. Update any mod or cc item you want to keep playing with, if one is available. At least check to see if it's been verified as working post-patch.

And CC. I haven't seen a LOT of broken cc reports, but, I don't go a lot of places where I would, either. I have seen some. So there are problems at least POSSIBLE.

CC is *usually* safer. But it melted when Dine Out came out, too. And other times. Check everything. Game's touchy, and an EP is a MAJOR update.

Some things will be fine. But is not checking from scratch (vanilla game and add verified files back SLOWLY) *really* more important to any player than possibly losing (or, better plan, KEEPING) a 9th generation hood?

(I don't mean that to sound snarky. I've just been fielding a lot of "OMG my game won't work" questions since the patch, a few repeatedly, and I'm a little frazzled.)

There seems to have been something in the recent patch that has caused the issue.

For the sake of saving a ninth generation hood... I'd like to bring @SimGuruNick in on this conversation. :)
