Try this, please:
- Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it
- Delete the file called localthumbcache
- Open the game and try to load a save
- If that works, exit
- Copy only files, not folders, into your new Mods folder. You can put them in new folders - I recommend doing that by creator name, with no added punctuation, to help you notice duplicates.
- Try again in batches
That unfortunately didn’t help, I’m currently cutting down on the number of files in case it’s the total size
