Error 114

I'm getting an error that says "the game has failed to load: error code: 114:7044fc7f:76c13e94. it is reccomended you relaunch the game."

I have cc, but I don't understand how that could impact this specific world that has this error. I made a save file and created a sim just fine with nothing wrong except for a few old broken mods (that were also in the save with the error), but this error didn't show on my new save. I tried moving some sims into the same world with the error, into an apartment building across from the household thst has this error, worked fine until they tried to visit the apartment with the error. I see no button for a log either, just "OK". what is going on? I'm struggling to find a solution to this. I've restarted my pc, I've repaired it through the EA launcher, I've reopened my game multiple times, and it's not working.

if it's important to know: one of the soms in this apartment with the error went to geek con, and when he came back that's when I got the error. I'm unsure if this would affect it since another sim on that lot walked the dog and came home just fine prior. my other game save, my sim was travelling back and forth, even world to world. I'm not sure if this is a cc issue, an ea issue, a dlc issue, or something I-can't-even-think-of-right-now issue.

I tried looking online for error 114 but couldn't find anything, and got overwhelmed when looking at the megathread thingy of all the errors, so I'm really sorry if this has already been addressed

I would first recommend you to attempt to repair your Sims 4 installation. To repair The Sims 4, close the game, open the EA app, navigate to your game library, find The Sims 4, click the three dots, and select "Repair".

Also, inside your compromised save, try switching to another household through Manage Worlds and then going back to your original household.

If none of these work, try to move your Mods folder outside of the game's folder and run the game without any custom content. Repeat the steps and see if it works.

  • So, the error is happening at lot-loading? If you do a vanilla test, does it work for that save? Follow these exact instructions:

Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

    Please also test this:

If you move the household to another lot - one that comes with the game and hasn't been edited - will it load?
