Good evening players!

I need help: I tried to use the mods to control pets and add a few things in "create a sim", but none of these works, it's like the files are not even there when I download them and I don't know what to do, even following the instruction in the websites, they still won't appear.

I know the mods could give some problems to the game, but: the family I need them for kept crashing without me using any mod or cheat and I had to re-create it from zero 'cause it was unplayable and one of the pets, a young and healthy one, died randomly (I read they can die only from old age), so at this point it feels useless to be careful; plus the A.I. of the pets just keeps making everyone run away in sadness 'cause they're hungry and can't eat from the full bowls in front of them or 'cause they're tired but can't just lie down in the same spot they were sleeping a moment before and instead they wait to pass out, so it's basically impossible to play with those (even when it's one pet only) and considering that the pets' expansion pack wasn't free, it would be a waste to not use it (even 'cause I like it) and using the cheat to not make their needs go down would still be "cheating", so why don't go for something more?

How can I make these mods work? (and since we're on the topic: what can I do if another family starts randomly crashing and freezing the game after a few seconds I start and how can I avoid other sim die randomly when there are really no way for them to?)
