Files randomly becoming corrupted, "application not responding" error

I've had this issue for at least a week now, even before the Lovestruck update. My game ONLY opens with no cc/mods at all or select folders. I deleted all my cc and started fresh by redownloading what I did have, but even that is giving me problems. I'm genuinely confused because it's not even the mods, which I did take out and are all up to date. Normally I've been able to remove a few cc and my game would work fine, but if I let the game go for a while, it tells me:

Cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted. If this file is a Mod please remove it and try again.  If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin.

/Users//Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/decor/Felixandre Georgian Set/Georgian_chair1_32.package

I delete the files that are corrupted of course, but why would they just NOW become corrupted when they were previously fine? Please help. I'm at a loss.

    mangolingo1031  Is OneDrive running on your computer, and if so, does it help to pause syncing?  You can see the option by right-clicking the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.

    If that's not the issue, what antivirus do you use, and have you set exceptions for Sims 4?  There are three executables you'd need to cover: TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64; or you can exempt the entire Bin folder they're in.

    Additionally, when a mod or cc item stops working, do you need to delete it and download a fresh copy, or does that not always help?  Does your existing copy sometimes go back to working?

    mangolingo1031  Try deleting the entire Mods folder and allowing the game to generate a new one.  Move a mod or cc item to that folder and see whether it works.

      I tried this, and it seems like sometimes the game opens with ALL the cc/mods and works just fine. but then the next day it goes back to not launching despite not adding any new files. Sometimes, the singular mod/cc I add to the new mods folder works and then ends up not working. I honestly am being driven mad by this...
