Hey everyone, I'm so sorry for ranting but I'm now at a complete standstill. I've removed the cache files, repaired the games multiple times, uninstalled the games and reinstalled them so many times ...

Please try a Game Repair + folder refresh (see https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/). Let me know if that works.
