Help w/ career and aspirations glitch

Hi- I've been playing sims for several years now and am encountering this problem for the first time. In all of my sims saves, career tasks and aspiration tasks won't register as completed. This is for all sims in all saves with all different careers/ aspirations. This makes it impossible to be promoted/ perform well in jobs without cheats because despite gaining the skill required or completing the task, it still shows as 0/1/ incomplete. I've reset the sims through MC command center, have checked my mods and feels like I've tried everything.

I do have a decent amount of cc/ mods as well as game packs but none of them are showing as broken. Anyone else have this problem and know any mods/ game issues that might be causing it? Thank you!
