Making an OMSP...can't pick it up in-game once it's invisible

I'm being a pest. I'm sorry. But this is something that's been bothering me for weeks. I want to make some OMSPs that are a variety of heights, but I'm having trouble with it and haven't been able to get any help. Someone suggested I try this forum.

I did manage to figure out how to make an invisible swatch, but the problem I'm having is that I can't pick up the OMSP once it's been made invisible. Can't delete it, can't move it, can't interact with it at all. How do I fix this, please?

This is kind of a cross post, like I said, I'm being a pest, I know. I wouldn't be if this weren't bugging me so much :/

Since I'm being such a pest about this I figure I should update my post. I figured out that if I clone a plant I can make my omsp invisible and I can interact with it, too. I gave my all my variants an alpha mask threshold of 0, changed the invisible variant's shading to phong alpha, and made sure the invisible dds file had a black alpha. Now, whether I needed to change the shader and/or alpha mask threshold, I don't know. But I did just in case. And I was able to add slots using Orangemittens tutorial. So, aside from the fact that I can't seem to place a microwave on my omsp (which I don't know how to fix), it works great! Problem solved!
