Mods Disabling Issue

So I downloaded wonderful whims and put it in my mod folder. When I first joined the game, I did not know I had scripted mods off and thought my game was broken so I exited the game and updated it and repaired it. Now it continues to disable my mods and I’ll go back to options, enable them, save changes and then restart the game and it keeps turning them off. The wonderful whims mod I downloaded is up to date and I’ve watched youtube videos saying do something with the options.ini file and I looked and cannot find an options.ini file, only a file that says ‘Options’. What do I do? And please try to put it simple and easy to figure out.

EDIT: it’s the next day and i’ve figured out that it’s not sims in general it seems to be the wonderful whims mod: 

My sims 4 will have both mods/cc on and scripted mods allowed. 

However, when I leave then put the wonderful whims folder into the sims 4 mod file and go back into the game it seems my mods are disabled again, and it wont let me turn them back on.

Any help is appreciated!

FINAL EDIT: Issue has been resolved 🙂 

For anyone else having this issue —

All you should do is go to your game and make sure your mods + script mods are on, then exit out (make sure you fully exit out of the game or it will not work) and go to Files >> Electronic Arts >> Sims 4 >> Thumbnail cache 

and delete the thumbnail cache file!

If this doesn’t work for you: Read more below on what I did.

— WHAT I DID: So I was in a game and turned mods and script mods on , then I backed out of the game (DO NOT CLOSE THE GAME, LEAVE IT OPEN ON THE MAIN MENU SCREEN)

And I put my mod into the mods folder and closed my game then reopened it.

I’m not sure if something else caused that to work but for me personally after that every mod I downloaded then went into the game without any problems.
