My game keeps crashing and I am unable to play

So I've been playing the Sims 4 for two years now. I've never had any major issues with the game working, other than an occasional crash or so. But recently, I was playing on a new save file and got pretty deep into the Sims life. Then all of a sudden, when I went to play with the household my game immediately crashed. The only way I could enter the save file was by loading the game into manage worlds, but when I clicked on my household and it started to load, the game would crash. I wasn't sure what was wrong so I moved onto a new save file which I had been playing for a couple of weeks. But now the issue is back. It works when I take all of my mods out but I'd like to fix it without having to do that. I've gone through and deleted some of my custom content and mods. I've even tried preparing the game through the EA app. Does anyone know what might be going on? I've been trying to fix it for 2-3 days. 

@ahol101 If it works without mods, then you have at least some mods that aren't working. But you don't have to guess at which ones!

Start here: Broken/Updated Mods & CC . Delete the broken or outdated ones, including from the "previously broken" list. For updates, delete the old version (except for .cfg files) before you add the new files, and check the installation instructions -- many modders have changed installation information like other mods you need in the last several months. After that, delete the localthumbcache file and test again.

If it works, you're golden 🙂 If it doesn't, here are instructions on an efficient way to test the rest of your mods and CC: 50-50 

Thank you so much for the response! However, I still have not found the issue after testing the 50/50 method and going through broken/outdated mods. When I was doing the 50/50 method, I took half of my mods out and left half in. The game allowed me to enter the household so I assumed the issue was in the other batch. So I switched the batches and it allowed me to enter. However, when I put all of the mods together- the game crashed after 4 seconds on the loading screen. I should not have any of the mods that are listed in the broken/outdated list. So I am unsure of what the issue is. If needed, I can provide the problem report if that will help. 

@ahol101 Sounds like you might need to try a different pattern for your testing. Try testing in batches by mod/CC creator. Leave in things like XML Injector and Lot 51 Core Library that are used by many different creators.

@ahol101 I'm also happy to look at a list of your mods/CC (see How to Use Mods and CC for how to produce one) or at any error report files you have -- the most recent last exception file, Better Exceptions report or MCCC report.

Here is a list of my mods! Below is the crash report that the Sims 4 generated. I am not sure if it will be any help but the HQ would not let me upload the file so I just copied and pasted it. I still have the problem report that it provided me but I'm not sure how to share that with you.

Try pulling out these:

• Resource.cfg - let the game generate a replacement file
• Cmar slider - that's from 2018 and likely broken
• MB Slider feet replacement.package - another old slider, likely broken
• aom selectable pets - definitely broken
• all [Aladdin] files - one hair not here is problematic, so let's suspect all of it for now
•  ¡¾333¡¿Valentine's Day Dress.package - in case the weird name is being an issue
• all KatieMods mods - these often have installation issues, so test completely without them
• all Lumpinou mods - when you reinstall, redownload to make sure you have the most recent versions; some have newer ones than you have here.
• MC Command Center - update to the new release when you re-add it
• RVSN_ModernFamilyPhoto_1_0_3.package - get the newest version when you re-add it
• [Peridot] Shorter University - 8 Credits.package - get the newest version when you re-add it, but note that it's also no longer supported

Use your BE report to check for duplicates. I didn't notice any, but I might have missed some.

@ahol101 Thanks. I wonder if there isn't an issue that's not the specific mods but the number of them. Also, add the Khlas mod to the "try without" list.

If deleting and updating the known issues here doesn't help, I think you might want to try just paring down your Mods folder to the content you actually are most likely to use.

If you could add Better Exceptions by Twisted Mexi (follow the link from his website), that would also possibly be useful for a report. Or upload an MCCC report.
