You may need to move your entire game saves out, or even rename your sims 4 folder to "old, then repair the game and slowly dribble mods back in one by one.
That is how I got my game working again, it will take ages to do, but, be patient and it will be worth it in the long run
So far 3 days of work and still only half way there and still finding mods that need updating or just dumping.
