Welcome! I did the same thing after the eco expansion and never looked back. My tips would be to keep your mods folder METICULOUSLY organized and to download the Sims 4 Mod Manager and the MCC mod by deaderpool.
ChloeYYZ No mod manager can replace responsibility for your own mods, and some have been known to cause problems in the past. Also, MCCC is a very complex mod that does a lot of things not everyone will want done in their game. I don't recommend it for people new to mods for that reason.
