About This Thread
This thread tracks Sims 4 mods and CC that have been "broken" or made obsolete by game update 1.115, May 27, 2025, and the June 17 update (also 1.115), or declared unsupported by their creators. It also tracks updated game mods and important updates to custom content. If you use mods, this thread's compiled lists and ongoing reports can help you prevent game errors and help you avoid having to batch-test your whole Mods folder. You can bookmark this topic in your browser and sort by NEW to check the day-by-day lists of additions that start after the compiled lists. You can follow this topic to get notifications of new posts, which will arrive by email if you set up email notifications.
SORT THE THREAD FOR WHAT YOU NEED:
- For the COMPILED LISTS, sort by Oldest
- For the MOST RECENT INFO, sort by Newest
Some things are NOT covered:
- early-access content
- separate translation files
- creators/mods outside the T (for Teen) game rating (no adult mods! that includes murder etc.)
- creators/mods outside the EA and EA Answers HQ rules, and the Maxis guidelines for Sims 4 content creators
- loading screens, CAS backdrops, main menu backgrounds, and poses unless it's clear that the update fixed an error or added a major new feature (not just a new design)
- Sims 4 Multiplayer Mod updates that don’t change the version number
- cosmetic, thumbnail-change, new-swatch, and tag-change updates to CAS and Build/Buy CC, or any CC updates that don’t say what was updated
- mods and CC hosted on sites that are mostly adult content or that require free membership on a site under-18s can't join
- NEW: Creators who upload other creators' CC/mods when the other creators are still active. Why: While there may be no legal issues here, these mass uploads cause problems for Simmers, who quickly end up with mods they didn't know they downloaded, duplicates, and broken mods. Not everything legal is ethical.
In addition, news for mods/CC hosted only on Mod the Sims may be selective and/or delayed.
In the end, YOU are responsible for your mod use. Because not all content and creators are covered on this official forum, many of you should be following creators directly for news. And remember… Back up your Saves folder!
