Won't load after choosing a house to play
Reporting now, as I am having the same problem.
Game boots fine. Created a new household, was able to move-in and access the lot.

can you copy over just your save game that didn't work before ? Make sure to copy it so you still have a backup of the save game.
You basically copy it from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old to the newly create folder Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
After that, load the save game and see if it still works.
I'm off to bed now but I'll check back tomorrow.
crinrict I followed your instructions as well. After reinstalling, marking the old Sims file in the Docs folder as old, and launching the fresh install to allow it to recreate the new Sims folder, I was able to drag my old save over and open it. It's vanilla - no mods are on and I need to completely redo my settings.
Thank you. Since I've already updated all my mods, I'll continue to tinker with that part to see if I can integrate them.Followed all instructions - it was an outdated SAC mod 😅 tysm!
