Re: Game crashing sims 4

@ovhonruq9f7g There are a couple of possibilities here. If during the 50-50 you had been testing mods but without mods they depend on (core mods, injector mods - that type of thing), then you wouldn't be able to tell if those were broken. Another is that you have mod conflicts, though those don't tend to crash a game.

Try a run-through of the Broken/Updated Mods topic lists to see if you missed some known-broken or updated mods there. After that, if you still have issues, make sure that you have the installation of mods complete when you do tests, and try a method of adding them in in small batches, so that if it turns out to be a mod conflict, you can see which small-batch addition part of the conflict was in.

@luthienrising This is the person that made the original post just under a different account but I did the 50/50 method a little different than I usually do where I kept all my mods, scripts, and any files that looked like it may be needed for other files to work and then I slowly added my cc files in smaller batches and at first everything was working without crashing when trying to play a household but it’s like after a while of reaching a certain number of files the crashing started happening even after continuing adding and taking out the batches to see if I was just unlucky enough to have multiple broken things anf I even started getting a breakpoint error pop up. So I don’t know if I still did something wrong or if it’s a item storage limit.

@Gemini_cali If you have over about 250 script files, the game can indeed become unstable. Honestly, it might be a good time to go through and decide what you're actually using and what's just there so you could use it.

@luthienrising Yea that’s what I started doing. I deleted some mods and scripts that I haven’t really been using in my gameplay and slowly getting cc deleted as well. Seems to be working so far without any crashes so hopefully it stays that way. Thank you for the help and response.
