Re: Saved game not loading and just bouncing back to world page

I tried to repair my game on the EA app but The Sims 4 does not have the repair feature so I did the Steam equivalent as my game was installed on Steam. I loaded a new save and pressed play. It went back to the world menu and didn't play.

    @Bayhorse1723  I've split your post into its own thread because the other thread was somewhat old.

    As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

    If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

    I moved my Sims 4 folder to my desktop and I loaded a new save. This worked and I didn't have the previous problem. Just to let you know I have a lot of mods.... probably too many!

    I know that it has been a VERY long time and you have probably forgotten about this issue. I was delayed on clearing out my mods folder due to end of year exams and revision. It also took quite a lot of motivation to sit through the boredom of re loading the game by singular files or mods. However I have good news. After all this time... the culprit is the pre-teen mod by ItsKatato and adeepindigo. I am so happy that I can now play my Sims 4 again! Thank you for all of your help! 🙂

    Hi @Bayhorse1723 ! If you're still interested in that mod, make sure to get the February 28, 2024, version, 1.7. It's confirmed to be compatible with patch 1.107.
