Sim family missing from save but has been completely removed from the game

@LilHunny9009 If you remove all your mods/cc and try on a backup from when you still had him, is he removed as well ?

    Yes, all of the recovery saves still have him missing, even the initial save and without mods. It’s odd because I made this sim first (after the test sims when I first booted it up) and his girlfriend and family after him, but they still appear in the game just fine.
