This discussion coincides with the 8/19/25 update for Sims 4
Today (8/30/25) I removed all the outdated mods from my mods folder on PC. I then proceeded to check the mod creators websites to make sure they were updated. Websites say they were. I redownloaded the updated mods and my game is STILL NOT working! It kicks me back to the world selector. the adult mods I use are as follows...
did you only remove them or did you actually delete them? i think you need to delete one by one and test although my guess is one of the latter two is the issue since i use ww and mccc and ive gotten my game working again to some degree after deleting other mods.

Yes, I thought I had done enough research and updated the important mods. Decided to do the update.
Big Mistake!!!!!!
Did all the recommended things, renamed EA\Sims4 folder, updated the game, started a new game with no mods etc, then started moving mods one by one into the new system.
Now so far, 3 days down and I am still getting errors and chasing broken mods and rebooting both PC and game, with the old "Wash, rinse, repeat" cycle.
