Status in simology panel showing incorrectly

Try the following

- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Close the game
- Copy the save game with the error from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old\Saves to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
- Start your save game
- Check if you still have the error and if you do, try the double load again.
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

Whew, it is all registering like it should now! And no worries, I trust you not to direct me to do something that would wreck my world. So again, I will wait for you to tell me how I should recover the rest of my stuff. 

You can now start to copy back things from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder that was created.

First copy back the rest of the content of the folder Saves. 

If you have other saves, check them as well. You can then copy back the rest of your stuff.

You will need the following folders

- Tray (your households and lots you have saved to library)- Custom Music (if you added any)
- usersettings(.ini)
- Screenshots (if you've taken any)
- Videos (if you've taken any)
- ConfigOverride (if you made any although I recommend redoing those)
- Options(.ini) (although I recommend to just redo your settings in the game)

Now test again. If that still works, you can put back your mods. Put them back in groups and make sure they are still compatible with the game.

All other files are recreated and not needed.

I do not know what configoverride is so I am probably good there and redoing game settings is easy enough. What is the difference between the usersettings and the options? I'm guessing graphics and audio and such for the one and game settings like weather and such for the other. So that is all minimal.

I don't have any mods to put back so I am good there. I only use UI Cheats Extension when I need to and remove it when done. 

Thank you for these instructions and I will save them for further use in the future if similar problems arise. Sorry about all the bug reports but I had no way to know that your instructions would solve all of them. Thank you and as usual, you rock :)

Options is everything you set in the options in the game, usersettings has all kinds of stuff but most importantly the pack selection.

UI Cheat is probably what's messing with all that and it always needs removing.
