Traveling causes entire lot to disappear

I do not see that as the main problem because even when I build the house on a normal residential lot it still disappears. I could deal with everything being a rental if it didn't disappear. And in that video at 2:55 when I placed the house from the gallery it did change and I did change it back to normal residential. If it stays that way I wouldn't know because after traveling or going into CAS it disappears the house. No I didn't change the name of my mods folder because I have never used mods I don't like them I didn't know this thread was more mod/cc issues. It 100% my fault I clicked the wrong one so I have since posted in both. I just tried changing the name of it and it didn't change anything. Thank you again for continuing to try and help me! Do you know how to get in touch with ea support if we can't get this fixed? Because I get stuck in the loop every time I try to make a case.

@lyleejane420 Didn't you say everything turns into residential rental ? If that happens, the game could very well be just removing the house cause it doesn't know what lot type it's supposed to be.

User folder reset doesn't necessarily have anything to do with mods/cc issues. It's just renaming the entire user folder and getting rid of stuff.

I would suggest to try that next (see instructions below)

This isn't just for mod issues, it's also for game issue. The tech forum is more for technical issues.

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Repair your game again
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

Every house I place from the gallery or build myself turns into a Residential Rental and before yes that is what I said but in reference to placing or building on a blank lot. The houses the game comes with will stay what they are. I should have been more clear about that bit. If i load the landgrabs for example it will be fine. I will try the reset now let you know thank you!!

Good news!! It seems to have fixed the problem. I did multiple tests. I even has a couple things in my showcase in the gallery including the sim from my most recent play so I figured using her and a build on there would be a good thing to test. So whatever the problem was it's not happening. Thank you a million times!! I'm not deeply attached to my saves, but if you really don't mind can you tell me how to get those back that was be awesome lol

First only put back your save game

Copy all content from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old\Saves to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Saves 

If there's a duplicate because of the new save you created, either just overwrite the file if you don't want to keep the new save or rename the new one to a different number that hasn't been used.

Now test again. If it still works, you can put the following folders back (just copy the content like you have done for the saves to their respective folders

- Screenshots

- Recorded Videos

- Tray (your houses and households)

- Custom Music if you have any

Test again.

If it all works, you're good to go. Other files don't need putting back

Well looks like whatever the problem is, it happens again once I put back only the save. So before I repeated the steps that fixed it, I uploaded anything else I wanted to my gallery since the stuff on there was safe to use after the fix and just call it a day. It's now again good to go thank you so much for your help! I'm not sure how to say you solved it officially on here but you did!
