- honeyybucket3 years agoRising ScoutI prefer CC because it lets me design and decorate houses how I want to, I don't like the base game stuff very much, but I use it when I need to.

- Sharooonia3 years agoSeasoned AceI like them all. I use more for fixing and tweaking annoyances than anything, but I do have a few that improve certain features of the game.
- lolychupa3 years agoNew ScoutI like CC mods too but the most interresting for me is the gameplay :3
- Kyr0e3 years agoSeasoned AceQoL mods - Unobtrusive mods that add to or tweak an aspect of the game (or allow me to on-the-fly), and feel like they were always a part of it.
I do also use Maxis Match CAS CC (I'm very picky about it, and often adjust the finer details and NPC restrictions using Sims4Studio). - AnotheLazySimmer3 years agoRising ScoutI tried to play pretty vanilla initially, but I wanted to do a story recreation that required I control births a bit, so I downloaded MCCC just for that. Then I found a bunch of little annoyances and found myself looking into small mods that made those tweaks. Like I finally got City Living and wanted to use the vendor stalls in random places, so I have a mod that activates them without my sim having to hire anyone when they are visiting the venue.
I also like that some things in sims aren't super realistic. Like I don't want a realistic childbirth mod, I like the way it is in game. I actually miss the plumbbob birth from Sims 2...still my favorite, especially for alien births. And I think it's great when you are tired you can give your date a hug (or not) and just go home, lol. And you'll still be cool the next day.
Most of the CC I have is for Men and kids, because EA neglects them. Women have more than enough and get more with every pack, so I tend not to bother.
I also couldn't afford expansions at first, so I ended up with a bunch of base-game compatible CC objects for Tots and Infants that I like and have just kept. - userafw3 years agoSeasoned AceI tend to prefer cc most of the time except for mods that improve gameplay. Of those, I tend to like mods that make decorative items functional, add new harvestables and recipes, career mods, event mods, new traits and aspirations. Those are less likely to conflict with each other. I have tried out user interface mods and script mods but those break the game if not carefully maintained and updated. And with anything that would cause conflict chaos like CAS backgrounds or loading screens or overrides, I tend to avoid those, and I never use auto installers like Curseforge or TSR CC manager for overrides or UI mods.
