    Hi @kygirl4christ,

So sorry to hear about your save files! If you have an active PlayStation Plus membership, you can try restoring these save files from your online cloud storage to see if it's saved there as well- however that data might be corrupt and unusable also, but I'd recommend checking just in case so you don't lose that 7 year save file.

In order to download your save files from your online cloud storage, please follow these steps:

    1.  From the main menu of your PS4, head to Settings-> Application Data Management-> Saved data in Online Storage-> Download to System Storage
    2. Select The Sims 4, and then the file you would like to download, and select Yes to overwriting the system storage file

  • @kygirl4christ   Oh no!  Are you using the Resume button or Load Game button?  Maybe you could try using Load Game and then selecting the version in My Saved Games instead of the Autosave version?  Although, depending on the last time you manually saved, you may lose some progress.

  • I play on my PS4 it gets to the start screen and wont let me choose a save file thats when the window pops up that my save is corrupted and says it will be deleted. At that point i just close it out.

@kygirl4christ    That is quite distressing!  I did a bit of searching and found multiple online articles related to corrupted data on the PS4.  Based on the fact that the problem occurred for you after the latest update, I'm just guessing that your system's memory was not sufficient for it and caused your save file to be "corrupted".  I'm no expert with this but basically it sounds like your system was not equipped to handle the update.  I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to the articles but you can search for them using the following site names and article titles.

There is one on CNET entitled "How to add more storage to your Playstation 4", probably the easiest of which is to connect an external hard drive.  This wasn't included in the article but perhaps you can use a large capacity thumb drive.  There are also steps to physically add storage for your system.

If adding more storage doesn't immediately fix the issue, you may need to restore licenses and/or rebuild your database.  There is a good article explaining the steps for this at Game Revolution and the title of the article is "PS4 cannot load the saved data because it is corrupted error fix".

NOTE: I haven't used any of these methods and therefore I cannot guarantee any of them will work to restore your save file.  I'm only offering the suggestions based on my limited online research.  Before doing anything, please take the time to read through the articles, consider these options and decide if you want to try them, but do so at your own risk.  I wish I could offer more help to you and I hope that you are able to restore your save file!

  • Thank you. I had already tried the re doing the licenses i will try the database fix. Sorry i should have mentioned that. I had like 300 gb on my system when this happened. I am so worried this is literally like a 7 year save file many many generations
