@JonaO703 I hope you like the kit as much as I do it's one of my favourites, despite this technical problem that is currently consuming my every waking moment!
I never thought of trying it that way, I'll test that next. It just has the impression of not being solid in comparison with other objects unless on a floor, platform or dresser/table. It went on the coffee table no problem but wouldn't go on the sofa. I have had a really bad clipping problem with Sims and objects since adding Horse Ranch and started wondering if that was linked.
@EA_Solaire this has happened on 2 lots so far as I'm building for 2 households in the same family. I'm currently renovating Laurel Library as a residential lot and it first began on 2-4-2 Wakabamori which I've also changed to residential. When they are complete, I'll add them both to the gallery.
I'll try it on a couple of other lots today too.
@mumofharry thanks, it is a really baffling problem. But I am enjoying using MOO for the first time on everything else.
Edit: moving the sofa then moving the cushion up, replacing the sofa then using free placement works. It also does seem to be the grid as well so I had to keep toggling full/half grid snapping/free placement to stop it snapping to the floor. On one attempt I should mention that clicking just made the pillow spin around instead of up or down, so I exited and powered down then restarted and re-entered the cheat code.
Now I've got the hang of how best to place them I'm be-cushioning away to my heart's content, much like in my own house! They do still clip if they touch anything or are placed too close together when placed this way but I can work with that. Also, if I touch a pillow after it's placed it flies off on it's own and snaps to a new spot across the room but I can pull it back with free placement.
Phew, this one drove me up the wall! Thanks so much for all the generous help 😄, now I can get the best out of this lovely new kit.
