Does anyone elses Sims just randomly stop moving or doing stuff?

Throughout my experience with the Sims 4 Playstation version I have these moments I mean periods of time where the engine just completely forgets what movement or actions are and just does Nothing...

For up to 5 mins and thats when I get the console out and suddenly they all just go straight to work...

(Sorry for that white on black this text box forgot what colour the background was...)

  • @BluberrySalad I have has times when the sim will glitch out in some manner briefly. This is not unusual, but if it happens frequently that could mean you have some type of issue going on. You can try resetting the sim is this is happening frequently to a particular sim. You can also do a game repair to make sure there is not some code glitch that would be repaired then. Do you have or have you had in the past and removed Mods or CC? If so, and the sim reset and game repair does not help, let me know and I can give instructions to troubleshoot if your Mods &/or CC are involved.

  • @SheriGR I am on console so no I don't have any mods or I haven't made any augmentations to the game...

But if you know how I could fix this I'm all ears

@BluberrySalad I apologize... I managed to glaze over the fact that you are on console, so obviously the pc/mac repair instructions are not relevant, and mods/cc are not a factor. I am trying to consult with some other helpers. In the mean time, are you aware if you are able to run a game repair on your system?

@BluberrySalad That's what I mean. I'm flying blind here as I know nothing about console except what I can google and I did not see anything about that. What I meant is since you can do this in for PC/Mac I was hoping there may be an Origin for console. The way we do the repair in PC/Mac, though, is via Origin. In game information we generally cover gameplay, etc., in the areas that are generally applied, but once we branch out toward more technically specific questions it is better to go to the tech area for the specific platform. Perhaps you would prefer posting on the console area? https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Consoles/bd-p/the-sims-4-technical-issues-consoles-en

  • @BluberrySalad I have been told by a fellow helper the following:
There are only 2 existing methods of repairing the game on console:

    1. Try clearing your cache by power-cycling your console. You can turn your console off then unplug it for 60 seconds. After that, you can plug it in, turn it back on, and try to access the game again.
    If that does not work...
    2. Reinstall game.
