How do I clear my local saves while keeping my cloud saves? My lag is unbearable

Hello, I'm currently on Xbox Series S.

I think I should clear my local saves because I'm having terrible lag, crashing, and long load time problems. My save file is decently old. (Sims on Long Lifespan, currently on my third generation, and I have 10+ packs installed)

I want to make sure that my saves are truly backed up on a cloud server before I clear local saves.

Firstly, How do I make sure that my data is backed up on the cloud?

Secondly, how do I clear local saves?

  • Hi there @Whateverwolf707,

If your save files are older, and you remove them from your local saves, but then redownload that same save file from your cloud saves, that won't help improve any lagging your seeing in-game as you'll be downloading that same save file again from your cloud storage.

Instead, if you're seeing a lot of lagging or FPS drop in your game, please run through all the steps in the FAQ here as well as the steps in this guide
