Community ManagerGotchya, have you tested this on other lots or a brand new save file as well?
As for the bookcase, do you currently have a backpack placed anywhere on the lot? We're tracking an issue that prevents books from being placed into bookcases if there is a backpack anywhere on the lot, please read over the bug report here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Backpacks-prevent-books-from-being-put-away-in-bookshelves/m-p/12878081/highlight/true#M256968

Yes! There is a backpack on the lot, I will remove it and see if that helps.
