The crashes usually happens once I leave build mode after I spent some time working my my house.
It also happens when I leave CAS after spending some time working on my sim.
Lastly, after playing on live mode for a while I noticed it'll crash when I leave to the neighborhood/choose world screen. I've read that transferring all my add on and the game to an internal drive will work, but I'm all new with ps4...I'd appreciate all the help I can get

@Mi_chiamo_SaulDefinitely install via Internal for The Sims 4. It doesn't cut a lot of the long long... load times down, but certainly improves it! Also, not sure if you're aware how to clear Cache? For Xbox it's via settings. But, since you're on PlayStation. If there's an option via PS4.... I'll go digging now for you and see what I find. But clearing Cache helps immensely when bloated old junk gets stored and 'bogs down' your game, which can result in sluggish frame rate and overlap lag. However, after extensive testing both myself (and ten other people via a Discord Sims4 Bug squasher Faq thread) have come to the conclusion that the new Cottage Living EP and Pre-CoL (Base game compatible) Patch are the culprit for a Lot of the Simulation Lag and frequent game crashes, that many gamers are experiencing across Multiple platforms!
So, take solace in knowing that your issue is one of many shared across all gaming mediums right now. Anyway, I'll go search for a method of clear cache for you now and update here accordingly.- 4 years ago
As promised here is the info I found for how to clear cache for your PS4 System.
1. Turn off your PS4. It must be completely off to clear its cache. If it's left in rest mode, the process won't work.
2. While the PS4 is shutting down, its indicator light will blink. Wait until it stops blinking — that's when the PS4 is off.
3. Disconnect the PS4's power cord from the back of the console. Don't simply unplug the cord from the wall — it needs to be disconnected from the PS4 itself to clear the cache. Also note that the cord on different PS4 models, such as the Pro or the Slim, may be in a different spot. Check to see if that's the case.
4. Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug the cord back into the PS4.
Your PS4's cache should now be clear, and you can test its performance by starting the system back up.
For Game cache via storage:
Follow these steps to access the System Storage and delete game data:
Open the Settings menu at the top of the dashboard.
Select Storage, then select System Storage.
Select Saved Data.
Choose a game to access the game’s saved data.
Press the Options button and select Delete.
Choose the saved data files to delete, then select Delete.
Hope this helps you out with at least the game crashes you've been experiencing! Also I'd suggest playing the Sims 4 in Offline mode for now. (When in game, via start button >>>options. Or simply known as The Sims 4's Settings panel and by selecting ”Other”. From there, just untick the ”Online Access” option and you'll play the game Offline.- 4 years ago@COSMICSMURFER Ohh ok! So once I entered system storage, I scrolled down to saved game. Then I clicked it, chose the game Sims 4 but once I did this it shows me the following options: Auto Save, User Data & My Library. Which of these do I delete? I suppose My Library isn't an option, so this leaves it up to Auto Save and User Data.
Also, would deleting any of these erase all my work in the game? The reason I'm asking is because I normally let the game auto save by "exiting world" I used to manual save by going to options but it ended up making a second file
