[PS4/XB1] Long Loading Times Entering The Game

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? City Living, Island Living, Get To Work, Get Famous, Seasons, Vampires, Dine Out, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Vintage Glamour Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch the game on Xbox One
What happens when the bug occurs? Things are taking sooooo long to load
What do you expect to see? Things are taking very long to load
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It wasn't me who made the patch, it all happened after a recent update

Ever since the 07/04/20 update for console, everything has been taking super long to load it' incredible. It all started when I opened the game and when the game got stuck on the first loading screen I re-opened the game and closed it many times nothing changed. I even hard reset my console and still, nothing worked. At first, I thought it would be just that loading screen but it ended up being all the loading screens and even objects in-game had 0 detail for the longest time.

It happens to a lot of console players trust me your not alone.

Okay thank you for letting me know. I didn't know if it was just me. Do you know if this happened with a certain patch or something?

I don't think it's patches for me it got worse the more packs I added.

@eternalrainnI also see this in my game. I own all the packs and am all current with patches. It's become a running joke that I need to launch the game before I start breakfast to get to the first press X screen and then make lunch after pressing X to load the game.

It doesn't seriously take hours to load, but it does take a very long time. I do start the game and then go do something else while I wait for that first press X screen and then something else while I wait for the game home screen, and then again waiting for the game to load my save.

The game did seem to run a little faster after I reinstalled everything, but I don't think the speed up was significant.

Edit: I timed my game load from launch on home screen to the time to enter my household and it took 6 minutes and 50 seconds. So yes, the load time is considerable.

Yeah I usually get on my laptop until it fully loads in. I'm glad it's not just me because I thought it might have been an issue with my console or something! Thanks everyone for the help.

My game has been taking a good 10 minutes to load the home screen and when in game it freezes and Sims take ages to do tasks

@drterminator015 I've moved your post to the thread with others experiencing this issue. Load times for the game are upwards of 6+ minutes. 

In the meantime there's some general troubleshooting you can do 

1. Turn off Your system completely

• Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
• Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
  Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
• Plug the console power cable back in.
• Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Since the new update sims runs so slow starting up and during playing it makes me not want to play anymore hopefully they fix this issue soon!
