save game recovery on console
I play the sims on the PlayStation and had recently overwritten a save file with a different one, I have seen and been told that it is possible to recover old saves from the load game menu but nothing shows up like they say it should. I have never backed up my game as I don't know how to do that, the game is saved to external storage. is it possible or how would I go about recovering the old save file? I need it back, I had so many houses and families built on that save. Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately if you've overwritten a previous save file, there is no way to restore that older save file. You'd need to continue playing on this new save file instead.
