Sims 4 - Xbox One Issues/bugs

Before i get into what i'm about to say....let me explain real quick...so you know how in sims you can press B and it will go to an arrow instead of a line shotting across your screen? If not then god only knows this will never be solved...buy if u do know...well every time i got to press B it won't let me...so right now i am naming my baby boy my sims just had...and when i got to click/press A on the check mark it doesn't work. My line that shoots across the screen sometimes when i go to move around like between build mode an the sims needs, it does that and goes back to my sims original like trait or whatever it is...its in the, i think hexagon?? Can u help???
