Can you access the cats and dogs items in game and all it's content? If so, I imagine it's still saying you can buy it as a digital version, as you have the disc version so in license terms, they're 2 separate games. If you can't access the in game content that's a bigger issue.
No, in game all of the content has disappeared including pets and furniture from previous saves.
Hmmm, very annoying indeed :(, are you playing on console or pc? If console id recommend trying to restore licenses on PS not sure what it's called on Xbox but I believe they have something similar or a repair of the game if on pc? 🤞🏻🤞🏻
