Hey @OllyWollyZolly,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you're running into. It sounds like you're seeing quite a few different things on PS5, so there are some troubleshooting steps we can go through to see if things improve.
Just to rule out any issues with potentially corrupted game or system files contributing to the problem, please try the following, or check through PlayStation's support article here for more information on the steps.
- Clear Cache:
- Power off your console, then unplug the power cable for a few minutes. Plug it back in and restart the console.
- Rebuild Database
- Boot the PS5 into Safe Mode using the link above and check for the Clear Cache and Rebuild Database options as they may help with certain types of performance issues.
- Update the Game
- Check for any available updates in your library to make sure that The Sims 4 is updated to the latest version.
Beyond that please check through our additional troubleshooting steps in this thread if the issues persist, thanks!
Ill try to clear cache and get a picture when the issue occurs with the ceilings basement again. Aka ground of the lot.
I usually can fix it if I tap on the ceiling and build ceiling, but I dont get that it doesnt have any at times at all when making a closed off room.

Clearkng cache and powering off and unplugging console first seemed to have worked. For now. But I have been trying to place or use specific gallery content rn to be sure I dont have them clash with anything on the lot.

Glad to hear that seems to have helped a bit for now, @OllyWollyZolly!- OllyWollyZolly2 years agoRising Adventurer
UPDATE: I have found the issue. So its not my game in general, nor the gallery.
Its the lot. Its Vladislaus lot. But I think its what I have build below it underground that has caused it.
So, I have an underground crypt.
With platforms. I have a feeling they break the lot if its a room with platform directly below it as Ive witnessed.
It either glitches the "ceiling" of that room and dissapears on the lot above or it sinks.
I learned that when I build on it or place anything from the gallery... that it crashes. Immediately. I cant click on anything, cant delete anyrhing, can exit build mode, but not really do anything in live mode.
So its the platforms and rooms below a lot thats causing some sort of clash with anything above it.
Dont want to replicate the bug or I have to restart the entire game cos thats all that works as of now.
Just envision a room below ground level lot with a platform. Go to live mode, back to build and realize the ceiling isnt build there which when you look at ground lot, with a foundation of a build ontop of it, that the ground is sunken. When I reload in the lot after leaving, the ground is literally a gap where the platformed room below is. A ceilingless room.
