Speed Control Issue/lag

Hi, over the past few weeks, my speed controls have not been consistent. Meaning, when I hit the  LT or RT button on my controller (Xbox) the time lags and won’t move to the proper speed I changed it to. The time will also often go backwards. I play on Xbox Series S. Please fix. 🙏
