I'm glad someone finally agreed with me. I play on PS4 at this point (when the game wants to work correctly). I also have all the DLC's (on console). I have been playing the Sims since the original Sims game was released, I have seen every single issue happen from day one of the original release. It's frustrating that we spend as much money as we do on getting Packs and Kits (which have gotten more expensive) over the years. I'm 44 now and I no longer have patience for companies that do not fix preexisting issues before releasing new "versions", Packs/Kits.
We really don't need a Sims 5 at this point. How are we as the players/consumers going to believe that a new Version (The Sims 5) is going to be any better. Other games on Console and PC run smoother and are MUCH older games that were originally PC games added to console.
The fact that Twitch and YouTubers use mods or CC makes it hard to tell if it's the mods or CC causing the issues. Also the fact that they are only given a Base Game version containing ONLY the newest Pack/Kits with NO other Packs or Kits that have been released installed gives NO information about issues being caused by Simmers.
They need to go back to the original complaints about the game, start fixing those issues until all issues up to date are fixed, then release new Packs/Kits. It would make it easier since PC players are having MANY different issues (not all the same) and Console users are having different issues (MANY ISSUES) different than PC players.
Fixing these issues before they plan on making new Packs/Kits or even a new Sims game (eg. The Sims 5) will have a more positive impact on the gaming industry (both on PC and Console) and create a much wider player base for The Sims games.
Even the My Sims game is having issues, most being the same as the original version of the game (exactly like The Sims 4).
It's highly frustrating as a former business tech, Business Communication, Business math and Business English student I find the lack of concern by EA to fix issues before attempting to make a profit ignorant. They want us to spend money knowing that every single time a Sims game/Pack/Kit is created there are going to be multiple issues that reoccur when a new update/Pack/Kit is added.
A properly run company fixes issues long before opening/releasing product. The worst thing is people see EA as a "BIG BOX COMPANY" and are too afraid to confront them. The fact that EA's games (pretty much all of their games) have multiple issues (most of which get fixed immediately), yet The Sims 4 community are still suffering due to EA's lack of concern for their MOST purchased and MOST played game is an abomination to gamers/Simmers across the globe.
EA hardly ever listens to ALL players complaints. They should be fixing issues as they come in (most other games do, especially on Console). There is no easy way to report issues directly to EA from Console or PC. There should be a way to report crashes/issues as soon as they happen. Instead we have to come on here, report an issue and hope it's seen by someone who is actually going to fix it.
Console players get two (at the most) "bug fixes" each Laundry List. Then they say they are fixing Base Game "bugs". So far the lagging, BB issues and gameplay issues still exist after EVERY update/"Bug Fix".
Also, many people pay Hundreds if not thousands for all the Packs/Kits combined expecting things to work properly. Just to be met with a game that either doesn't properly function or a game that just doesn't work at all.
As soon as the Reapers Rewards began MORE issues were found. So far, week three my Sim has died because she refused to stop swimming in order to fish (to get the Angelfish) and I lost ALL my rewards from my inventory. This shouldn't be happening, the rewards should be functioning correctly.
ALL issues need to be fixed before adding anything else to the game. Give players a chance to actually have fun playing and building again.
