Your house interior is appearing blue like this because there isn't any lighting inside. What you're seeing right now is normal- you'd want to add some ceiling lights to your rooms, or windows to let the light in. This way you'll be able to see the color of the wallpaper and carpet better as you put those in.
As for the missing windows and doors- have you checked your household inventory in Build/Buy mode to see if they've been placed there?
