(xbox) cannot install Cats and Dogs on xbox one

so uh, ive owned the sims 4 for around 5 years or something? and only recently ive had issues with one specific game pack : cats and dogs. i have it on disc as part of a bundle but recently its saying i dont own the pack when i do, usually i just uninstall and reinstall but i did it today and now i cant reinstall it at all without buying the "my first pet" bundle thing, which i dont want to do! the microsoft store says its nit available to download standalone and ive tried just about everything else i can think of, so what do i do?

    Gotchya, thanks! With the disk inserted, let's try the following:

    • Highlight The Sims on the dashboard
    • Press the Menu button on the controller
    • Select "Manage Games and Add-ons" 
    • You should see an option here to "Install" your DLC

    Just to be sure, is your game disk for Cats & Dogs currently inserted into your console? If you own the disk version, you won't be able to access the pack without using the disk.

    yes i am using the disc, ive been using the disc mostly without issue for the entire time ive had it, the disc isnt scratched or anything either, so i cant really tell what the issue is

    hi yes this ended up fixing it!! it also turned out my disk wasnt actually functioning because i just found out the hard way that an xbox disk drive does not work if you stick a hdd ontop of it, thank you!!
