So I just want to confirm if I cannot create, I think it’s called a symbolic link on a solid state drive? I followed bluebellflora directions and it works perfectly fine with my usb external hard drive but when I try to do it with my solid state drive, it will not allow me to. I get this:
Yes. A solid state drive, SSD, is just a type of drive.
Did you reverse the symlink on the original drive?

Yes I did. I think the problem may be that it’s set as Exfat and not the journaled? I have the actual game on there and wanted to move my mods but before I reset my drive , will moving my mods to the ssd help the game?

My guide explains why you have to reformat the drive to APFS or Mac OS Extended journalled 🙂- reverietay11 months agoNew Novice
Hi, can you help me please. I've followed your guide multiple times but I am unable to create an alias folder for my documents Electronic Arts folder. I am able to move the Electronic Arts folder to my drive, but when I try creating an alias it only shows as a file, not a folder. Because of this, I keep getting an error saying my game is already running when it's not. I know this is the issue because the electronic arts folder on my drive has no mods, no cc, no saves or tray files. Can you please tell me where I went wrong? Not sure why it's showing as a file and not a folder.
