Hello
I followed the exact instructions for creating the symbolink and I keep getting the "The Sims 4 is already running" error every time. I have no idea what the problem is. The folder is in the correct place on the USB and the symbolink is also in the correct place on my computers document folder. My hardrive is correctly formatted as Mac OS Extended, both the Sims 4 and the EA app have access to the documents folder, and my icloud drive syncing is off. Any suggestions on what I should do? I have already tried restarting my computer, and reinstalling both EA and the sims. The game loads fine normally but as son as I create the symbolink, I get that error.
Update- Fixed. Apparently I has a random folder with the same name as my external harddrive. i fixed it by starting over with a different name for my hardrive
