What you’re describing is creating a symlink which is detailed in the opening post of this master thread I’ve merged your post into and not necessary to fix the “already running” error message. This fixed your already running error because you correctly allowed all the permissions when prompted. This can also be achieved in System Settings > Privacy & Security.

I'm aware of this, however, before I did this, my settings were correct, this was taken before I fixed the issue with that method, I'm no expert, for definite, but this is what worked for me and if its gonna work for other people, so be it. Just trying to help lol..

Ok, but it’s important to understand creating the symlink can actually cause the already running error due to individual iCloud setup or drive issues.
Creating the symlink is simply for storing the Electronic Arts/ TS4 folder outside of its default location without the game being aware. Creating it erroneously or without full understanding has created huge problems for some users.
