Cant install supernatural mod!

I am trying to install the supernatural mod. I downloaded and installed sims 3 from origin, and bought the supernatural expansion pack from origin as well. When I go to click continue in the installation of the expansion pack set up, it says I don't have sims 3 installed. BUT I PLAY SIMS 3 ALL THE TIME! HELP! USING A MACBOOK PRO
