Game crashing or not loading especially after updating? Post here.

so i have been playing sims 4 a ton recently and played it pretty much all today. i didn't have any issues, but i tried to save and exit. when i did this, it told me it couldn't save it. now when i go back into the ea app, it won't let me play sims 4 at all. the ea app says it's open, then closes the tab. i don't have any expansion packs, mods, or cc installed on my macbook. maybe it's the files, i have no idea.
