Help! I have two problems! My sims 4 won't work!

Ok, so I have two problems. #1 is that my sims 4 game won't open. I go on origin and click Sims4 then click Play. Origin then closes but opens again and sims4 is no where to be seen. Keep in mind that I have uninstalled sims and now it is stuck on the word "installing" every time I re install it. #2 Sims 4 has the little circle under it saying it's open. But when I click it no window pops up and when I force quit it it won't go away.Please help.

(BTW I'm using a macbook Air , if that helps)

@Bluebellflora The method did not work. However, I looked at your mac thread on Sims 4 and the method of logging out then logging back in Did work! Thanks SOOO Much! You are a life saver <3 🙂

Can you go into Documents > Electronic Arts and drag the Sims 4 folder to your desktop. Now try launching the game by double clicking on the game in your Applications folder, not through Origin (Origin will open automatically).

@Bluebellflora The method did not work. However, I looked at your mac thread on Sims 4 and the method of logging out then logging back in Did work! Thanks SOOO Much! You are a life saver <3 🙂

That's great, and such a simple fix! Thank you for posting 🙂 I'd like to mark your solution as solved because it was the logging in and out that you described that worked.
