My game freezes every time I go into CAS mode

My game freezes completely within minutes into CAS mode. I don't know if it does during gameplay because I haven't tried. I am trying to re-create the townies but every time I go into CAS mode within minutes it freezes and I have to force quit the game. I honestly don't know what to do, I've tried re-installing, pressing repair.. I'm playing on a Mac

Thanks. Yeah, definitely try without CC/Mods. Wouldn't hurt to try moving out the whole Sims 4 folder too and then adding in one save to see if it works https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M163

Also, try loading a Lot and see if it crashes during gameplay.

Are you attempting to play the normal version of the game or the Legacy Edition?Normal

Have you tried to repair the game in Origin? Right click on the game in My Games and select Repair Game.Yes
Do you use CC/Mods? If so, have you tried removing them and seeing if that fixes your problem?
