The game does not wipe the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts but often people report this who have been moving files and folders around on their Mac so it can be down to inadvertent user error
I haven’t moved any files recently, but I also can’t see any saves from the last five years. One of my oldest saves is accessible, but it says the last I played was 2020. The thumbnail in my game also shows sims from 5 years ago. Nothing from recently is anywhere to be found.
Open Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal) and copy and paste this search command then hit enter/return. The OS may prompt for Terminal to access various locations on your Mac, you need to allow this to run a thorough search:
find ~ -type f -name "*Slot_*" 2>/dev/nullIt will take a while to return the results. You'll know when it's finished because the command prompt will reappear. Please copy/paste the results here. You can replace your Mac account name with an XX or something in the results, I don't need to know that.
