Re: [FIXED] Problems playing Sims 4 on the 16" MacBook Pro
I have had my Macbook since April 2020 and never had an issues with the Sims. When I tried to play last night, the game kept freezing up on me. I went back into Origin and did the "Update" and "Repair" options to make sure nothing was out-dated and everything was fine. I tried to play again this afternoon and the issues were significantly worse - unplayable. I posted the question to reddit, and it was suggested that after this last patch that came with the Star Wars pack (which I did not buy, so I did not install any new content) this may have caused the game to stop recognizing my card. I do not have any mods or CC installed on this game, only EA content purchased through origin/EA. My computer specs are:
macOS Catalina
version 10.15.5
2.6GHz 6-core intel core i7
Memory 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Graphics AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
Attached are two photos showing the glitches - one made the screen look all pixelated. On the second one, when I loaded my current build, the floors disappeared and I could see through multiple levels of the build. Can someone assist with getting this issue corrected? Thanks.
