I did all of this and games from years ago reappeared but I started playing the game again a few days ago, and none of the recent games are saved. The houses and sims are saved in the gallery up to the day before I actually finished the lot and started playing the game. The files exist on my laptop but they don't show up in game.
Please open Terminal and copy and paste the following search command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type f -name "*Slot_*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.
