if your sims 4 on origin looks like this picture, then while in-game meaning in the save you created or are playing, click ( option, command, ESC )at the same time and the force delete should come up, now just move it( force delete screen) to the left until it's out of sight, and the game somehow runs fine. let me know if this works for you.
the image I sent still happens with the finder window open, it actually shut down my computer and shut down origin.
Hmm, interesting. Seems like you may have an issue with the OS or possibly even hardware related. As asked previously does this happen every time you load the game?
Did Origin close before the machine turned itself off? When you restarted the machine did you get an error message telling you your Mac had had to shut down due to an error?

We can do further troubleshooting that may fix it but need to know the exact model Mac and OS first 🙂
my game freezes up every time and the image I uploaded happens and once in a while, it shuts down my computer, making my screen go black and then turn off. it is only after I turn it on that I see that origin is shut down. I never get an error report message. I have already been in contact is EA support but nothing worked. I put my MacBook in safe mode and tried opening the game and an error comes up saying I need to download the legacy version.
I use a MacBook pro 13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports
processor: 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
graphics: intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB
Memory: 16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X
macOS : Version 13.2.1 (22D68)
origin is not set to launch after logging in. i have tried the new sims folder instruction multiple times, did not work. i took out the mods and did not work. I play on my desk, it's a wooden table.
i have attached my graphics .
okay so I turned on vsync , windowed mode, and laptop mod and it wasn't freezing but the graphics were still glitching like the first image in my original post.
after I reset, I reverted back to the original graphics setting and it seemed to have worked, with no problems so far.
