Why is everything is gone or broken

The other day I went to play sims and when I went to play it told me that I had to download the app? I just assumed that it was an update so I went to. After it downloaded all of my saves but 1 were gone. After I moved past that and started a new save, no mods were working. I have everything clicked on the games settings and i'm putting them in the right file. And finally I came to terms with that today and went to play again it made me download the game again and now all of the packs that I've spent so much money on are not working. Ive been on the ea app and tried to manage add-ons but can't see an option to redownload any of them

I know there is a bug going round at the moment corrupting games but im just so frustrated and any help would be great appreciated. Thank youuuuu
