Would a system restore on my computer bring it back?

@organiccupcake No, a system restore will only restore things like drivers, installed programs, system configuration settings and such.
Sims 4 files are stored in your personal area which isn't touched by System Restore.
I don't suppose you happened to make a backup of your Documents directory at some point?
