All my Sims 4 households/lots are DELETED! HELP!

**RESOLVED**

Game files got accidentally moved around on computer. Might've been when I was troubleshooting some non-sims issues. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm silly. 

I'm so distraught. My game is set to automatic updates and I've been minding my own business playing a new household doing the 100 baby challenge (and doing very well with it). When I went to travel I noticed... All my beautiful and painstakingly detailed lots had disappeared. That includes households I spent 25+ hours on, including my personal sim+family. Buildings that took weeks to perfect. I had an entire neighborhood in Newcrest, all gone. I didn't upload any of them but one to the gallery and that's the only one showing up under my name...

I am not very knowledgeable about technical things or how to access old save files so if you have any advice on how to fix it and how to prevent in the future, I would be so grateful. I assume this happened recently after an update because I remember when I was moving my matriarch last week that one of the lots I thought I placed was reverted back to default. I kinda shrugged it off since it wasn't a lot I've played with for a long time and thought I was remembering incorrectly. Then my game went a bit wacky and so I had to repair it. It can't have been too long ago that it deleted since I remember looking at those lots and families last month. I do seemingly have older save files under documents>EA>Sims4>saves that maybe I could reload? Please help me. I want to rage quit this game that I've invested 1,065 hours on, and a fair bit of money, only to have all my work disappear. I don't care how silly that sounds about a video game, it's the truth.

    I try to understand. You are able to open this save and where you are in this there are not lots with your family - only empty city map?

    Or you can't load this saved game and Load Game button isn't working?

    Could you describe precisely what happened in your game after the update?
    Btw. Are you using any mods or CC?

    Are you on Mac, PC or console?

    Hi, so I don't know how to load old save files at all. When I run my current game the game is entirely to default, the houses and households I've replaced over the years have gone back to the base game and NPCs as if my work never existed. The only household+lot I have still showing up in the world is the one I made two weeks ago, so I think this happened a good bit before I noticed. And now that I'm thinking on it, when I started this new family I started getting achievements for in game things I've already done before, but again, just shrugged it off stupidly. So it didn't just delete my work, but achievements too, alluding to a complete reset. 

    Currently, all but the single household I made in the last two weeks are all reset. For fear of skipping possibly important information I'll also say when I was playing it the other night there was a section of the screen that wasn't responding to my clicks and restarting the game and origin didn't fix it. I repaired the complete game files the next day and the weird unresponsive dead zone was fixed, still none of my data was retrieved. 

    I have some mods/CC. It's mostly cosmetic stuff like clothes, hair, and like 5 BB objects. I'll try reloading the game with them disabled since I didn't even think of mod issues.

    Oh, and I'm on PC.

    My boyfriend went rummaging through my saves and found it! All is fixed. 😭 I'm so happy.
